Error "TCP / IP protocol not available" when trying to launch ViaVoice 10

Problem:

When launching ViaVoice 10 the following error may appear, “TCP / IP protocol not available”.

Cause:

A firewall is installed that does not allow ViaVoice to launch.

Solution:

Disable the firewall before launching ViaVoice.

Also please see TIB 4360 if this error occurs during installation of ViaVoice 10.
